Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide a reliable and courteous transportation service with safety as a top priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform tasks related to the transportation of passengers and/or equipment.

Conduct deliveries as required.

Operate and maintain vehicles and records.

Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.

Complete any other reasonable tasks assigned by the direct line manager.

Inspect the vehicle and/or trailer for damage before use and ensure legal compliance.

Prevent overloading of the vehicle and/or trailer at all times.

Manage time effectively.

Report damages immediately and submit an incident report within 24 hours.

SPECIFIC AUTHORITIES

Stop using any equipment posing a safety hazard and take corrective action.

Halt work affecting service quality and address the issue.

Initiate improvement requests for system deviations or nonconformities.

Refuse unauthorized personnel from operating the assigned vehicle.

Qualifications
Education

• Grade 12 (advantageous)
• Valid Truck Driver’s License

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience

Competencies

Strong knowledge of the Gauteng region

Valid and up-to-date operating license

Ability to read maps

Ability to read and write

Good communication skills

Professionalism

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work overtime
• Flexibility
