Salary: R131,265 per annum (Level 03)

Requirements

To be eligible for the position, applicants must:

  • Possess a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NQF Level 4).
  • Be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
  • Hold at least a Grade C security certificate.
  • Not be declared unfit to possess a firearm.
  • A Diploma/Degree in security or relevant courses will serve as an advantage.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles (advantageous).
  • Be willing to work shifts and extended hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform access control duties in line with the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act (Act No. 53 of 1985).
  • Conduct positive identification of officers, employees, visitors, and maintenance personnel before granting entry.
  • Issue and retrieve admission control cards to/from visitors and maintain the visitor register.
  • Inspect suppliers, articles, and objects for security purposes before they are allowed on the premises.
  • Manage the admission of vehicles and equipment within the premises.
  • Oversee cleaners and maintenance personnel from a security perspective.
  • Inspect security equipment and facilities, reporting deficiencies to senior security personnel.
  • Assist security officers with their duties and perform additional tasks as required.
  • Be prepared to work shifts and irregular hours.
