Selection Criteria

  • Grade 12 learners:
    • Overall average of 70% or higher
    • Minimum of 65% in Mathematics and/or Physical Science (for engineering-related studies)
    • Submit latest third-term results
  • Tertiary students:
    • Minimum 65% average based on most recent semester results
    • Submit final matric certificate and full academic record

Final-year results will be considered for shortlisted candidates.

  • A certified copy of your Grade 12 third-term results (for current Grade 12 learners) or your most recent full tertiary academic record along with your matric certificate (for tertiary students)

Who Can Apply

  • South African citizens
  • Applicants residing in the Eastern Cape (advantageous)
  • Children of MBSA employees (advantageous)
  • Grade 12 learners
  • Full-time tertiary students (1st-year students will have an advantage)
