About the Role

Qatar Airways is looking for a Heavy Duty Driver to join our Cargo & Airport Operations team in Doha. In this role, you will support customs clearance and transportation of air shipments using heavy-duty vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will also be responsible for purchasing and delivering food and non-food items while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the cargo team with the clearance of air shipments.

Transport consignments from Cargo to the In-Flight Catering facility.

Operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and in full compliance with road safety regulations.

Conduct daily vehicle safety and roadworthiness checks.

Purchase food and non-food items on a cash basis from local outlets to meet procurement needs.

Ensure all transported goods comply with food safety requirements.

Verify product quality, quantity, and expiry dates before acceptance.

Source items as per purchasing specifications.

Handle and account for cash transactions accurately.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; OR

Bachelor’s Degree (no prior experience required).

Skills & Competencies:

Good spoken and written English.

Strong driving skills and a clean driver’s license.

Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Effective coordination and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
