REQUIREMENTS:

  • Abet Level 2 Certificate or equivalent qualifications at NQF Level 2.
  • Knowledge of repetitive tasks, numeracy, literacy, and operating equipment.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctuality, time management, trustworthiness, and respect for authority.
  • Ability to work according to schedule in the Office of Executive Authority.

DUTIES:

  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the allocated areas (restrooms, bathrooms, and offices).
  • Handle garbage disposal.
  • Perform washing, dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning, and sweeping as appropriate.
  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning materials, tea, and meal utensils.
  • Keep cleaning equipment safe, clean, and in working condition.
  • Report any equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced.
  • Clean the boardroom, arrange chairs, water, glasses, and other utensils as needed.
  • Store all cleaning equipment and products neatly in designated cupboards.
  • Implement basic security measures such as locking doors and closing windows.
  • Monitor hazards such as fire or electrical issues in buildings, offices, or residential areas.
  • Assist with simple maintenance repairs that don’t require professional help.
  • Provide catering support services by preparing food, snacks, and beverages (water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and cold drinks).
  • Set up and convey crockery, cutlery, and equipment to dining areas.
  • Serve food and beverages.
  • Be responsible for food supplies and report any waste or losses.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctuality, time management, trustworthiness, and respect for authority.
  • Knowledge of hospitality services and kitchen equipment usage.
  • Understanding of the code of conduct.

DUTIES:

  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Provide catering support services.
  • Maintain stock of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Apply hygiene and safety measures.
  • Ensure quality control of all food provided.
  • Clean dining hall, storages, rooms, and kitchen.
  • Prepare food, snacks, and beverages.
  • Set up and transport crockery, cutlery, and equipment to dining areas.
  • Serve food.
  • Assist with general duties when required.
