Requirements:

Minimum Grade 10 education; Grade 12 is beneficial.

Valid Driver’s License is an advantage.

Must be bilingual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preference for applicants residing within the Midvaal area.

Good physical health and ability to perform physical labor.

At least 1 year of relevant experience as a machine operator (brush/bush cutter) within a Local Government Authority is desirable.

Duties:

Grass cutting and area cleaning as per schedule.

Maintenance of sports fields, flowerbeds, pavements, and other areas using garden tools and machinery.

Safe usage and maintenance of brush cutter machines and other equipment.

Removal of rubble and garden refuse from public spaces.

Traffic sign placement during roadside work for safety.

Winter treatment of sports fields and maintenance of municipal facilities including parks, cemeteries, clinics, libraries, and sports centers.
