Requirements

• Grade 10 certificate (NQF Level 2).
• Valid Driver’s Licence Code EC with PrDP and Operating Certificate/Departmental Competency Pink Card for specialized equipment.
• 5 years of driving and operating specialized equipment experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle inspection, maintenance, and safety measures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read and write.
• Physical fitness and good eyesight.

Duties

• Operate specialized equipment for grading, loading, and offloading goods.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting defects promptly.
• Keep log sheets for vehicles and machinery.
• Apply safety and precautionary measures during operations.
• Clean and lubricate machinery equipment.
• Transport work teams and materials/equipment.
• Detect and repair minor mechanical problems on vehicles.
