The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) seeks 16 Court Interpreters across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and KwaZulu-Natal. This is an opportunity for multilingual candidates to play a vital role in ensuring fair and accurate communication in court proceedings.
Salary
R228,321 – R268,950 per annum
Successful candidates will be required to sign a performance agreement.

Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 4 / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Three months’ practical experience (advantage).
- Driver’s license (advantage).
- Proficiency in English and at least one indigenous language relevant to the post.

Key Duties
- Interpret in Criminal, Civil, Labour Courts, and quasi-judicial proceedings.
- Provide interpretation during consultations.
- Translate legal documents and exhibits.
- Record and maintain case records as required by Magistrates and Prosecutors.
- Keep statistics and related records.
