Job Overview

The Office of the Chief Justice is seeking a highly motivated Administration Clerk (Legal) to support judicial functions at the Kimberley High Court. This entry-level role is ideal for recent matriculants with an interest in law. An LLB degree is an advantage but not required.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
  • No experience required
  • LLB degree (advantageous)

  • Time management and decision-making abilities
  • Computer literacy
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Familiarity with Public Service legislation, prescripts, and regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research for the Regional Court President or Chief Magistrate
  • Compile legal statistics
  • Support case flow management processes
  • Assist the Regional Court Registrar
  • Provide general administrative support to judicial leadership

Additional Information

  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo two pre-entry assessments:
    • A practical task
    • An integrity assessment (Ethical Conduct)
  • Preference will be given to women, persons with disabilities, and youth in alignment with the Employment Equity Act
