Salary
R216,417 – R254,928 per annum (Performance agreement required).
Job Requirements
General Requirements for All Posts
- Education: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Excel).
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Additional Requirements for Specific Posts
- Administration Clerks (Cash Hall):
- Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject.
- Relevant administrative experience.
- Administration Clerks (Assistant Registrar):
- Experience in court-related functions.
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties Across Posts
- Handling and processing court-related administrative tasks (e.g., criminal, traffic, civil, and domestic matters).
- Digital recording of court proceedings and maintaining records.
- Processing and management of court orders, appeals, transcripts, and financial records using systems like MOJAPAY and BAS.
- Providing customer service and professional support to the public, judiciary, and legal stakeholders.
- Filing, document management, and maintaining statistical accuracy.
Specific Responsibilities by Position
- Cash Hall Clerks:
- Process payments (maintenance, bails, fines) using MOJAPAY.
- Reconcile petty cash and compile BAS reports.
- Assistant Registrar Clerks:
- Manage civil and divorce court rolls.
- Issue court orders and grant default judgments per the Magistrates Court Act.
